The Institute

We operate as both a rigorous research institute—advising key governmental and private entities—and an active market builder driving Africa's premier digital economy platforms.

ERITE is a Zambian-registered nonprofit founded in 2023 to pioneer solutions at the nexus of technology and economics. Building on the decade-long legacy of our sister organization, IFE Zambia—established by former Bank of Zambia Governor Dr. Caleb Fundanga—ERITE takes a holistic approach to sustainable development.

By combining high-level policy analysis with active commercial execution, we bridge the critical gap between visionary policy and tangible, real-world results.

AI for Africa

Africa should not just consume AI — it should build it.

  • AI for Public Policy Lab — beta-testing tools for improving policy effectiveness, ahead of wider deployment
  • Local-language NLP — public service delivery in Bemba, Nyanja and other African languages
  • Predictive financial inclusion — credit scoring models for merchants the formal system ignores
